First verse to the song I'm listening to right now, Sorry by Maria Mena. It's raining outside and the song oddly fits, its calming but sad. I don't usually listen to wispy, indie girls with their guitars, but for some they're all I want to listen to right now.

Im sitting here all curled up in my friend Hope's sweatshirt and drinking cinnamon cocoa, feeling for the first time that summer's ended. I mean, despite having school, it's felt like summer wasn't truly over. I've been staying up till the wee hours of the morning every night and partying every weekend, but tonight I think I'll go to bed early. It's finally sinking in that summer is gone.

I feel older, especially looking at my little sister who is just beginning to hit her formative years, and thinking how she's got no idea what lays ahead of her. She cannot fathom the hurt and the happiness that life will wind up bringing her way. I remember the naïve years, caring only about the little things and not giving a fuck what boys thought or if I had any money. I miss them slightly.

Anyway.

I've just thought of a playlist for greying, rainy days like this. Like, the perfect hot-beverage sipping soundtrack.
