Trick Or Treat, Bitch!

Happy Hallo-fucking-ween!! I'm most deff going trick-or-treating tonight, but I doubt I'll be innebriated cuz it'll be a Sunday night. That's not to say I haven't celebrated though. I partied for 2 nights in a row and now I'm a bit partied out.

On Friday, I was going to go to Denver to hang out with Mwb, but I ditched that to go hang out with Blonde. She was going to have a bonfire, but it was too windy, so we just lay in her field and smoked a lot and stargazed. It was fun, I love stargazing.

Last night was the best though. I went to my friend's house, she was having a costume party, and the adults were all oblivious to how much we kiddos were drinking. I had 3 beers and a ton of Malibu, not to mention smoked some dankity strawberry cough, which was pretty delightful. I left right as I was starting to get beligerent, so no public stupidity or party fouls, yeah!!

Unless you count how Biggingerboy walked me home, and then kissed me goodbye. And then he came back, and we walked to the park and made-out under the curly slide. I'm not gonna lie, even though I was D-R-U-N-K, it was intense. He kept wanting to go further, but I kept not letting him.

I remember being able to hold my shit pretty well in front of my parents, but I think my little sister knew what was up. I kinda passed out in my bed for a few hours, but I remember waking up at 3:30 am because the lights of a cop car were illuminating my entire window. The curtains were flashing from red to blue to purple to blue to red. I peeked out my window and the cop car was parked facing my house. Cue extreme sobering up. I silently flipped out, what if the cop had followed me home, what if something happened, what if Bgb turned out to be some fedeal rape offender? But after about 5 minutes, the cop drove away, and it was then that I remembered there are 6 colloge students living next door to me.

Despite not being able to stand up very well, I was a good girl last night. I'm just a tad concerned that someone saw me kissing Bgb in the park, or stumbling home. Anyway, today is going to be a nice, low-key Halloween.

Oh, and my costume is/was Tom Cruise's epic shirt and knee socks combo from Risky Business. But a tad sexier. Cuz I'm not Tom Cruise, and my sock were thigh-high ;)

Happy Halloween!

An Old Letter To An Old... Friend

So, I found a letter that I wrote to Mwb (but never sent) in August, right at the height of our shit, and I reread it, and it's actually quite good in my opinion, so I thought I'd share.

Dear Manwhoreboy,

Well it’s been a wild little ride we’ve had, hasn’t it? Over the course of about a month, you’ve put me on a roller-coaster ride to Hell. You’re giving me emotional whiplash with all your bullshit. Maybe it’s a maturity thing, maybe it’s the fact that your male instincts are out of control, and maybe it’s just fucked up because you can’t commit to anything. I don’t know.
So I’m going to tell our story, all the way through. I’ll start from the beginning, all the way in June of last year. We met at acting camp, and that single week was pretty awesome. We flirted in our little, immature ways, and low and behold, on the last day of camp you asked me out. But at that time in my life, I couldn’t take relationships seriously, so I lied to you, picked and escalated a fight, and basically engineered a breakup.
After a period of not talking, you texted me out of the blue. We sort of had a thing going on for a while over the phone, but that didn’t last because right around that time I got a real boyfriend. Also right around that time is when I think you lost your virginity, because conversations with you began to change.
Summer rolls around, and we start talking again. I find out you’re doing the acting camp again, so I sign up so I can see you again. Yes, I did the camp for you. I straightened my hair religiously and wore cute outfits all week just for you. We flirted and texted constantly and more intensely during that week, and I thought everything I did for you had been worth it.
Until your girlfriend showed up for the final performance.
It was that final performance that showed me how great of actors we truly were. You acted as if nothing was different, in fact I don’t even think you realized how much I honestly wanted to brand the word “Manwhore” across your forehead. I gave a stunningly good performance, acting as if nothing were wrong and even being able to be funny on stage. But inside, I was fucking livid. How dare you not even mention this girl who you had obviously been in a deep, long-lasting relationship with. Not only were you screwing with my head, but you were screwing with hers too.
Then, not too long after that, you text me, telling me you’re going to dump this girl. Well, not only did you emotionally cheat on your girl with me, but you didn’t even have the courtesy to wait after you dumped her. You wanted to date me immediately after her. I saw those Facebook pictures of you two though, it was obvious you two were basically Nick and Norah. It was surprising and unbelievable to me that you’d throw away a relationship like that like it was nothing.
After a little, you convinced me you were single enough for me to consider liking you again. And I did. I really, really liked you. You charmed me in that way you do, and we had a few dates. On the best one, we shared an extremely passionate kiss in the middle of the bus station. It was beyond memorable, and is on the the list of top 5 kisses I've ever had.
But, seeing as I haven’t seen you in person in a while, and now every time we talk it’s boring, I’m sobering up. I’m seeing you for you again. I know all you really want with me is sex, and I think what you’re doing is a very cunning, planned out way of getting it. I applaud your patience with the matter, seeing as you’ve never been one to “take things slow”.
Maybe it is a maturity thing, what with you having oh so much more life experience than I’ve had. I’m trying to be mature for my age, I really am, but if you want to be with me, you’re just going to have to deal with my random and erratic tendencies and child-like moments. Sorry dude, it’s just the way I am, me being so ‘innocent’ and all. I think you’re not used to that.
But, ultimately, the deal-breaker here is trust. I can’t trust you. The whole acting camp/girlfriend thing basically shattered any trust I had for you. Because if we did end up together, I know at some point I would be in her position, and no one wants to be cheated on. Plus, your afore-mentioned inability to keep it in your pants means you’ve probably been getting action on the side of whatever we have since the beginning. It would definitely explain how “respectful” you are of me. I mean we’ve never been official, so it’s not technically cheating right? Being unfaithful requires faith to be there in the first place.
The thing is, you can’t trust me either, because you have trust issues of your own.
So here’s where we stand: I like you, despite all of your shit. I will probably always like you, and in my heart there will always be a little spot just for you. However, you disgust me. Your behavior is ridiculous to me. And since summer’s coming to end, I think it’s time that our little summer fling did too. It’s becoming clear that we’re just not meant to get serious, and serious is what I need right now.
I know we’ll stay in touch, we always do. And I know you’re an amazing friend, because I’ve seen that side of you time and again. I hope we can stay buds, and who knows, maybe some time from now you will get me into bed. But our time is not now, so peace out.

Always Yours,
Whether I like it or not,
Jules

C'est Un Gateaux Est Un Mensonge

Portal referrance. In French. Because I am just that cool.

So tonight I wiped my phone's memory in an attempt to make it work correctly so I may live a happy and technology-full life. Well the memory wipe worked, but the phone itself now isn't. /Facepalm to the nnnnnth degree. I am textless, solitaireless, and essentially phoneless and I. Am. Dying. Of. Solitude.

On a different note, Halloween is coming up. I adore this holiday. Free candy and lots of horror movies and costume parties! What could be better than sugared up teenagers in ridiculous costumes going to see badly made high-budget films in massive, overwhelming hoardes? Sounds like fun to me.

I may be too old to trick-or-treat, but I have a feeling I'll be doing it anyway, possibly while innebriated, and I most definitely will be dressing up. I'm not going to go crazy and wear lingeree with go-go boots and a pair of animal ears though, I'll let the girls who have low self-esteem and several STDs do that.

Few and foreign followers, I have a question. Would you be terribly offended if I began experimenting with some way or another to sign off. Cassi says "Thanks much". Ross says "Ross somethingremarkableyclever Gilligan". I feel as if I should say something conclusional (is that even a word?) at the end of each post. So I think I might start trying stuff.

I Dig The Brits.

Incase you didn't know. Hah.
Today I drove a car for the very first time. It was both terrifying and liberating at the same time. I also got a taco with some friends, but when I unwrapped it, the shell was cracked and it was what I would classify as a Tacofail.

So I am really starting to love philosophy (Possible college major? I think so.) and today I realized that the unsung philosophical heroes are the Brits. The Greeks get all the insta-fame, the Germans get all the little communist fanboys, but the Brits? No one gives them enough credit for their shit.

Take John Stuart Mill for instance. Once you get past all the boring shit he said about collective will and utilitarianism, you realize that his main advocation was for democratic deliberation (discussing the fuck out of a topic). Dude was all about the truth, and reaffirming it.
He talks about these things called "Dead Dogmas" which are essentially moral standards that people have accepted, and no longer care about. Ideas and beliefs that are no longer explored or discussed, and are therefore "dead". To avoid "Dead Dogmas", he says that even if we know something is right or wrong, we should still talk about that side when we discuss the issue so that it can be re-proven true. Mill's outlook was that ideas should be forever explored, even when we don't agree with them.

I dig it. This is totally what modern debate is based on. In every debate, you have to know and be prepared to argue both sides, even if you disagree with one or both of them. Even if you know that the side you are advocating is wrong, it's still really informative to research it and fight for it when you normally wouldn't. It expands your understanding of humanity.

I dig the Brits for having such an awesome dudes as Mill, Hume, and Burke a British nationals, even if it was a few centuries ago.

Ok, sorry to nerdgasm all over the place. I just can't help myself sometimes..

Rain Boots

I know, I know, 2 posts in 1 day? Not ok. But this one's the video blog :) aka me being awkward for 2 minutes and 35 seconds... and not actually talking about rain boots.

And it's on YouTube because my brain lacks the computer savvy to be able to figure out how to embed videos on Blogger... yeahhh.

Ooh Child.

I know I haven't done one of these since summer, but it's time for another 3 am post! Woo...

I don't know why I woke up about 20 mintutes ago, but I did. I woke up to a dark room, which is weird for me because I usually have to sleep with a little reading lamp on, because even at 15, I'm still a little afraid of the dark. But instead of turning my lamp on, it's still dark, and I'm actually kinda diggin' it.

I think it's funny that the first thing I thought of when I realized that it was 3 am and I was suddenly wide awake was "Wow, now would be a great time to get laid." and then I *almost* regretted not going over to Mwb's when he offered that I could sleep over tonight. Luckily my common sense kicked in right about then and I was glad I didn't.

So tomorrow, I'm getting feathers. Cassi was supposed to come with me, but she texted me while I was sleeping saying she couldn't. Well I'm getting feathers with or without Cassi. I have a sneaky feeling that she may be blowing me off to chill with her guy, which is fine, but be honest, babycakes.

So my late night epiphany (wouldn't that be a great name for a band? Late Night Epiphany...) was this: I can get by on the steady flow of action I'm getting, but do I really just want to get by? After witnessing some ridiculous cuteness between two friends today at Red Robin, I think just getting by is not what I want out of life. I hate to say this, but I think it may be time to change my serial heartbreaking ways.

video blog coming soon :P

Pancakery

There are few pleasures in life comparable to the absolute extasy of digging into a mountain of pancakes at 10 on a lonely Friday night. Ahh, calories, you make my anti-social mood evaporate.
I have just returned from a late-night IHOP run. Mmmm IHOP, you hold so many memories. Do they have IHOPs in Britain? It is the International House Of Pancakes after all...

Anyways, now, after filling my guts with buttery, syrupy goodness, I am ready to be friendly again. Unfortunately it is almost midnight, and I doubt anyone will be able to hang out. There's always Agb, but I'd rather not get high in his rape van in my driveway again :P He's got a girlfriend now, so no flirting, and we'd probably just end up snarking at each other until the THC set in anyway.

It's weird having time to waste. This is the first Friday since the school year started where I'm not at a game or attending some religious event. After quitting the-sport-that-shall-not-be-named, I feel like I've got all the time in the world, it's a little disconcerting. I don't know what to do with it. I suppose I could take up drawing again. I'm quite good at portraits, but the last one I drew was of Cassi, and that was about a million yeas ago.

Also, few and foreign followers, I have a question for you: video blog? yay or nay?
Ok, that's technically two... pshh details, details.

This is my "apathetic" face.

and this is my "I love you, but I'd never say it out loud" face.

and this is my "I'm bored and avoiding math homework, hello photobooth" face.

Limelight Addict

Let's be honest, everyone loves having the occasional glory-hallellujiah moment in the spotlight, because these moments tend to yeild massive amounts of complimentary feedback and PCP-worthy boosts in self confidence. This emotional high is pleasurable, lasting, and memorable, kind of like really great sex. Unfortunately, it has its addictive qualities, and has therefore spawned addicts.

You know who I'm talking about, the people who go to excessive lengths to get a constant flow of attention from the people around them. There are different levels of intensity of their attention-whoreness, it could be always talking about their own achievments in any conversation, no matter what the topic, to faking a pregnancy when their best friend has just recieved recognition from the schoolboard. I've seen it happen.

Or, my favorite breed of attention-addict: the compliment fishers. Constantly self-bashing, yet always hoping someone will disgree and tell them how wonderful they truly are(n't), the compliment fishers are definitely the most common and most obnoxious attention-seeker to have to deal with. Their inadequacy issues usually start from their parents, and they begin seeking attention as a way to get parental approval, and eventually approval of anyone. They want to feel good enough, so they constantly try to get people to tell them that they are.
Ugh.
I can't say I'm not guilty of seeking the spotlight on occasion, and I know I go on compliment-fishing trips from time to time, hey, I'm human, I need some lovin'. Those who are constantly in search of the limelight, however, need no more lovin' than they deserve.

On a slightly sweeter note: I will soon be making a pilgrimage to the land of the Colorado hippies with Cassi, and I'm quite looking forward to that.

Society's Obsession With Material Wealth

Fair warning: Ok, I know I said I was gonna write this about superficial beauty, but if I did that it would make me a hyppocrite. So I changed the subject matter. This isn't short, and I sound like a lawyer, but it proves that I have some amount of intelligence...

I stand in firm negation of society's obsession with material wealth under the criterion of reducing judgementalism and the value of individual liberty. I negate the above for the following contentions: Material wealth reveals little about a person's true character, material wealth can only be used to measure one's financial gain and no gain of any other kind, and material wealth increases the societal isolation of certain classes, races, and peoples.

Contention One: Material wealth reveals little about a person's true character.
Although one can assume much from just seeing the way another dresses or certain posessions another has, they cannot truly measure another's charcter simply from the material objects he has. Society's unfortunate obsession with having the latest and greatest material items increases the tendency with the society for people to be extremely judgemental of each other. Although judgementalism as a whole cannot be completely annhialated from social interraction, it can be reduced. As such, my criterion is supported.

Contention Two: Material wealth can only be used to measure one's financial gain and no gain of any other kind.
Material wealth is simply a display of how much money one has. Within this point, it must be said that branding has a huge impact upon the value of material items. Designer items are no better than generic items in structure and quality, but have higher value simply because of the brandname on them. However, one could have all the designer items in the world and still be unhappy. Finances are one ultimately insignificant thing a human can gain in their lifetime, however happiness and self-actualization cannot be measured in material wealth.

Contention Three: Material wealth increases the societal isolation of certain classes, races, and peoples.
It has become evident, especially within the current generations, that many of the social isolations within public institutions (i.e. school, the workplace, suburban neighborhoods, etc.)are wealth-based. This is tragic and shallow by humanity's standards. As I have made quite clear in my previous contentions, wealth should not be used as a judging apparatus, nor should it be seen as a measure of a person's character or morality. These judgements increase the isolation of the middle and lower classes, races which are steriotypically seen as less wealthy, and peoples who are not materially blessed. Under my criterion and value, this is a negative effect of society's obsession with material wealth.

To sum up this case, it must be said that a man's character should be measured by the moral gain in his life, and not the financial gain. Society's obsession with material wealth is harmful to social welfare, and must therefore be negated.

Grindfest 2010

Homecoming (2) was last night, and it was ah-fucking-mazing. I thought homecoming (1) was pretty awesome what with all the makeing out and whatnot, but even with no making out at all, homecoming (2) essentially pwned it.

I went in an all-girl group of really close buds, and we were all girly and got ready two hours before dinner and I did three of my friends' make up. We took pictures, then went to dinner, which was at this expensive Italian place, and was absolutely fantastic.
After dinner, 'twas time to dance! We froze our asses waiting in line to get in, then stashed out shoes, purses, and respective lipglosses in the loft gym, then went to the main gym and danced the night away.

I remember, at homecoming (1) no one really knew how to grind, the music blew, I knew practically no one, and dancing with my date was awkward, so I mostly just kissed him all night. (I sound like a ho, I realize this.) At homecoming (2) I knew wayyy more people, everyone danced like crazy, there were grind-lines and mosh pits and it was basically amazing. I danced with Cassi, who I was surprised even came, but it was fun. Girl could shake it :) I slow-danced with a guy, let's call him HumorousBoy, and I can't decide if it was awkward or not. I think I'm beginning to warm to HB, he sort of followed me around for half the night. He's a very bad dancer though :P There was this kid, PossiblyGayEmo, who kept staring at me while I was dancing, and he would sort of dance near me, then back off again, then dance near me, then back off. It was sketching me out. But I knew PGE before the dance, he didn't even go to my school, so I found his awkward insta-infatuation a little unnerving.

Anyhoo, creepy PGE and random slow-dancing aside, last night was fawesome. That's me, the tiny, slutty, blonde in blue on the end :)

Not A Senior Citizen

To celebrate my liberation from the-sport-that-shall-not-be-named, I got my nails done at the most Asian-tastic nail salon ever. I walked in and a Vietnamese lady in platform flip-flops said "Ohai hon-ay, you sign in fo appoy-men."

:D

After my nails were done I was really, really, ridiculously bored so I bleached my hair again. My little sister marvelled at my blue hair (I used blue-tone bleach which is bright blue when you mix and apply it. it makes it so that your hair doesn't end up orange when you wash it out). Then I bleached my hair again again. I know it's bad to do that twice in one day, because it kills your hair, but I was bored and missed some spots. My hair is basically white now, but I love it. I hope my hair doesn't fall out, because tomorrow is homecoming (2) and I don't want to look like a senior citizen. I am not a senior citizen. I'm not even a senior.
FREEDOM!!

Homecoming, you had better be worth this...

The Following Contentions

Ok, sorry for all the lametastic posts about my turbulent soon-to-be exit from cheerleading. It's obnoxious for me to chronicle it, and I apologize for focusing on it instead of more important, less shallow subjects. So, in an effort to show you few and foreign followers of mine that I have, in fact, retained all of the intelligence that I had prior to bleaching my hair and picking up the pom-poms, I will be posting a Lincoln-Douglas-esque case criticizing society's focus on superficial beauty.

I'm on my school's debate team (believe it or not, I'm a walking contradiction...) so I need to practice case-writing anyway. Plus I feel especially shallow going on and on about how much I despise cheerleading.

Unfortunately, my chemistry teacher is trying to kill me via heart attack and possible drowning under all of the homework that she assigned, so I'll be posting my smart-sounding case against society's focus on superficial beauty later.

:P

Dread: Rescheduled.

It seems that things have begun to accelerate to a point where I'm thinking I'm going to quit before the end of the week. Either Saturday, after the game, or Friday, just before a 4 hour practice for learning a competition routine I won't be doing anyway. Fuck that, I am not going to work crazy hard for 4 fucking hours if I don't have to. It's gotten to the point where I don't even care if I cheer at the game, the assembly's good enough for me.

I honestly never thought I'd say this, little, blonde, and generally optimistic as I am, but seriously;

Fuck cheerleading.

Dread

I dread tomorrow. The 14 hours at school, the math test my life hinges on, the 3 hour cheer practice to learn choreography for a dance I won't even be doing (because I'm quitting soon, honest), then being benched at probably the last vollyball game I'd ever get to cheer for.

I dread Thursday. The homecoming assembly I may or may not dance in, the last day to turn in any school work before quarter grades, and more cheer practice.

I dread Saturday. The homecoming game, if I get to cheer for it, will be the last football game I ever cheer at. The team is doing a dance at half-time, I may or may not be participating. The dance, which I will have fun at regardless, will be bittersweet and I'll probably be exhausted before I even arrive. I'll be going without my boyfriend, but with my best friend.

I dread Monday. The day I quit. The day I give my cute little uniform back and face my coach, my team, and my captains and tell them "Fuck you, you ruined something I loved. I don't care if anyone follows me out, but I'm setting myself free."

I dread Tuesday. The dirty looks from the girls on the team every time they pass me in the halls, the friends asking me "Why? How could you?", the rumors flying, the fact that everyone will know whether I like it or not.

I dread Friday. The game that I won't be going to. The cheerleaders in their uniforms at school, and me in regular clothing.

I don't dread Saturday, the day when I realize the extent of my freedom, the world will have officially moved on, and the grieving will stop.

Life will get good again, here's hoping.

You Know What I Hate?

People who start conversations with "You know what I hate?"

Quit being negative, soppy, bitchy people. Suck it up and deal with the shit in your life. Do me a favor and quit complaining. Are you starving? Do you have AIDS or malaria? Was one of your parents or siblings recently killed by suicide bombers? Didn't think so. So shut up.

Lush Tingz Ini'

Hah. Kickin it Brit style, what whaaaaat!

So this morning, I judged a novice debate tournament that I wasn't supposed to be allowed to judge but I did anyway and it was fantastic, but now I reeeeeeally wanna compete. Plus I met Cassi's Dustin, and he is a peace activist mixed with a stand-up comedian on crack. Good choice babe.

So then, I got all dressed and makeup-ed and hair-prettied for homecoming (1) with Farmboy. I think I looked damn pretty. Anyhoo, so I went to this persons house and the entire group met up and it was über awkard at first, when all the parents were taking pictures of us, but then we got in a black SUV stretch limo with alight-up ceiling and empty mini-bar and went to dinner at this expensive restaurant. During dinner, eveyone loosened up and it became much less awkward.

At dinner, I realized thatI was surrounded by extremely wealthy kids. I just kept quiet mostly, but I realized that for the next few hours, I'd get to live life as a rich kid. After dinner, we road around in the limo for like 45 mins because we finished dinner early and it was too cold to walk around, so we just road down the highway blasting to radio and partying like rockstars. I kissed Farmboy for the first time in the limo, cuz I mean, hello, kissing in a limo!!

I had a little trouble getting into the dance, because I don't go to Farmboy's highschool, but after a series of extremely lucky instances I got in, and danced the fucking night away :) Blonde was there, she goes to that highschool, so I hung with her a little bit too. I kissed Farmboy in the middle of the dancefloor, just because I had never kissed anyone on a dance floor before, and I realized that the song "Teenage Dream" was playing. What a cliché lol but it was lovely anyway.

And now I'm texting Mwb, and honestlytalking to him just can't compare to the night I had.

:)

Rocket Jesus: An Explanation

Ok, so today I said "thank Rocket Jesus" during chemistry, and everyone looked at me weird. If you've been reading my blog fr a while, you may also have noticed that I mention Rocket Jesus occasionally. No one but me says Rocket Jesus (that I know of anyway) and I don't think it's going to catch on, but that's ok. But incase any of you few, random readers are wondering, here is the history and character of Rocket Jesus:

So in Hicktown, people take their religion über seriously, and that religion is Protestant Christianity. Church is as common a place to know people from as school is, and people will legit recite biblical verses at you and randomly proclaim their love for Jesus. Which is a tad awkward for super-Jews such as myself. And one thing that the Christ-obsessed inhabitants of Hicktown really, really dislike is when you take the name of the Lord in vain. Which I do about 60 bajillion times per day, and at least once per sentence. I mean, I'm creative about it, but I guess it bothers people when I say "Lord" "Jesus" "God" and "Christ" in the same sentence as the words "Holy" "Fucking" and "Balls".

Since I get enough crap already for being a non-believer, I just decided it'd be easier to take the name of another deity in vain.

Enter Rocket Jesus. He's like the regular Jesus, but he rides a rocketship and saves the world and has a pet dinosaur and stuff. And he doesn't have an evangelical following who get all butt-hurt when you scream his name amidst curses. I invented him, and I honestly don't care wether screaming his name will ever catch on to anyone, because honestly, he's more like an inside joke I have with myself. (I sound a lil' bit schitzo...) But I've started building up the habit of saying Rocket Jesus whenever I need to take a deity's name in vain, because I just don't have time to worry about being glared at by my church-going buddies.

Anyway. Yeah. That's Rocket Jesus.

It's Been An Interesting Night.

Not like, Paper Towns interesting, just smalltown, oh-what-did-you-get-yourself-into-this-time-Julia-you-foxy-little-wench interesting. Haha. Ok, maybe not that interesting :P

So tonight was a night essentially unlike any other until approximately 6:18 pm when I get a text from a certain Mwb whom I have been avoiding and ignoring. But in some spontaneous moment of complete lack of judgement, I replied for the first time in over a month. And we get to talking. And he's not flirting just yet, but he tells me he misses me.

Well obviously, the whole "why don't we go our seperate ways" thing didn't really work, because I really hate to admit this, but I miss him too. Fuck. Fuck!! Why do I miss the cheating, over-sensitive, sext-obsessed, gets boring real quick, boy? Why?????

While trying to win the battle in my own head, I get a text from Farmboy, with whom I shall hopefully be dancing the night away with in around 48 hours :) And he's definitely flirting. A lotttt. And I'm flirting back. I'm really starting to like him.

And then I get another text from Mwb, telling me he wants me back in his life.

Why, God, why are you doing this to me? Is there a lesson to be learned here??
Sweet fucking Rocket Jesus.

I. Am. Alone.

And loving it :)
In response to Daryl's post, fondly entitled "So Happily Screwed.", I give you a rare and uncensored look into my thoughts in regards to relationships of any kind. And I guess there's bit in there meant soley for Dari-darling (may I call you Dari, darling?) but I'm not going to set it apart from the rest of my thoughts, so you'll just have to find that part on your own.

When I read Daryl's post, I wanted to comment, but I realized that the post was probably overloaded with emotions and geared towards someone who obviously isn't me, so I said nothing, plus commenting with "omg I totally feel the same way, people are bullshit." would have been a tad douchey in my opinion. I also realized that I really wanted to respond to the deeper thoughts in the post, and not just the anger sitting on top of the words, so here I am, responding :P

I guess what really struck me is how she was able to (without realizing it, I'm sure) sum up my entire outlook on interpersonal relationships in one little sentence: "I am mine."

So here's the core, the foundation, the gooey center of my personal philosophy:
I love no one, and no one loves me.

Sure, I've got friends, best friends even, and yes, I do love them with every inch of my being. However the way I love them is friendlove, which is essentially a cheap but mostly satisfying imitation of the real deal. A fact that is all too apparent is that no one will ever value me as much as I value them. Therefore, in an effort to excersise my logical instinct for emotional self-preservation, I value no one as much as I value myself.

I value myself because, let's be honest, if I don't then no one will. As Daryl made quite clear in her post, we are only little parts of other peoples' lives. We can never assume that people care about us the way we care about them because humans have this tendency to do surprisingly stupid and hurtful things. Betrayal of each other is part of our natural duty in living.

To those who actually know me, this is where my innability to hold down a boyfriend comes from. I can't trust people. I just can't because I've learned not to. It's not like I don't want to, I just refuse to. Blatantly. I can only be independent, because by being independent, I can save myself the hurt that I am sick seeing in other people. I can assure myself that I will never fall without anyone to catch me because I always catch myself.

I may be incredibly self-assured and confident, and fuck yes I'm independent. I'm not comfortable with being anyone's anything because it'll only be temporary anyway. I am no one's anything.

And yet my exsistence is neither lonely nor sad. Wrap your head around that one :)

I Must Be Magic.

Last night, I went to Terror In The Corn, which is basically a haunted house/corn maze (it's a hick thing) because Blonde's older bro and a few of his friends work there. I'm not gonna lie, it was scary. Some of it was stupid, but for the most part it was a really well-executed haunted house. Plus the normal corn maze without all the actors and fake corpses was really fun to play hide-and-seek in :)

So it was me, Blonde, Brunette, Lobster, Girl who remind me of Lily, and Farmboy. Brunette was being bitchy and high-maintenance as usual, I just kind of ignored her. I'm really sick of dealing with her, I don't know why anyone even puts up with her crap, I mean even Blonde was complaining about Brunette's mellodramatic tendencies. Lobster is Blonde's bud, and she's my bud too, but she really didn't like Girl who reminds me of Lily because Girl who reminds me of Lily is a little obnoxious and I don't think she really like Brunette either due to the aforementioned display of mellodramatic tendencies. (I sound like a lawyer..) Lobster and Farmboy are tight. Farmboy was really funny.

So basically, this is us (minus Lobster, she was taking the picture) standing on top of hay bales, in true Hicktown glory. From the left, it's Girl who reminds me of Lily, me, Brunette, Blonde, and Farmboy being an awkward ninja trying to jump across the bottom of the picture.

Later on, at Lobster's house, Farmboy was texting Lobster sbout how he thought I was cute, so she gave him my number, and we got to talking, and then, after knowing each other for all of 5 hours, he asked me to his highschool's homecoming.

Haha. I feel like Weetzie Bat (book refference, anyone?). Because not only is there a new guy in my life for me to talk to, but he asked me to homecoming.
I don't care if it's not my homecoming, I got asked :)

Holy shit, I need a dress!
