Friday night adventures! Oh how I love them. Cassi and I hung out in Boulder, got boba tea (which we both ADORE. OMG so yummypants) and then went to say hi to Agb. Except "hi" turned into staying for like 3 hours and smoking hookah in his treehouse (which is basically the coolest treehouse ever. It's got a couch and a turtle chair and a heater in it)
Agb had two friends over: SlightlyBritishboy (who is originally from the Isle of White, but has been living here for a few years) and JewishViolinistboy. They were both rather funny. I knew Sbb from an acting camp we both went to several summers ago, and I had met Jvb once at a religious thing. It's ok, we're all buddies now. And Jvb wants to give me his old hookah... I don't know if it's something I want though.
Anyway, at one point we decided to go on a late-night pizza run, so we went to the only place serving fresh pizza at 1am: a bar. Agb's ex-girlfriend came in as we were waiting for our pizza, and Agb completely shut down. He wouldn't eat. It was tragic, his ex was bitchy, and so when she walked by our table again so that she could leave, I stabbed her. JK! I just glared at her intensely.
Right as Agb, Sbb, Jvb, and I were leaving, a lady walked in with a cat on a leash. I am now going to repeat that for emphasis: A lady walked into a bar at 1 am with a cat on a leash.
All the skeezy feelings from Agb's ex encountered evaporated and the awesomeness of the night was restored.
We all returned to the treehouse and smoked cotton candy shisha and drank shitty beer and listened to Louis Armstrong.
Basically, very chill night. Also, I am really ready for summer.
Then I had to go to a bar mitzva this morning, hungover. Not my favorite thing to do...
Bar mitzvas are very boring. I've been to about 16, and it's the same thing every time, same service, same brunch, same obnoxious old geezers. I secretly love them, but mostly I don't.
How was your morning?
Julia
Oh, hookah...You have no idea how many times I've been offered, and how many times I've said no. It's like a hobby here in NYC...
ReplyDeleteThe cat on a leash stuff made me giggle.
