Some nights, I think it's best not to meet new people or go on crazy adventures or party. It's better to not think about silly Manwhoreboys or moments you regret or the amount of moral corruption that you are probably responsible for among your friends (this coming from the most un-saintly teenager America has ever seen).
No, sometimes it's easier to just have a cozy night in, eating donuts and talking about life with an old friend in the warm night air. I think that swinging on the swings at the park with all the rose gardens at 3 am is infinitely more pleasurable than a night of drinking; and I'd rather look at the stars with an old friend than a new one.
That's not to say I'd refuse an opportunity for excitement, because when one is granted I'm always the first to capitalize upon it... Just, occasionally, the nights that are quiet are the nights I enjoy more.
Looking at clouds and thinking of you,
Julia
