Merry 5th day of Chanukah!
So, after reviewing the poll [thanks for actually commenting by the way, it really was helpful] I have devised a plan for the coloration of my hair. It is to be as follows:
-Warm (by warm, I mean red/gold-based) toffee with maybe a few honey highlights
I really think toffee is a plausible color, but Cosette helped me to remember that I couldn't just have a flat color, so thanks, darling :)
I'll purchase the dye in the morning and then, on Christmas, while you're all unwrapping present and gathering around your decorated shrubbery, I'll be avoiding my family and inhaling the wonderfully noxious odor of fresh bleach and dye.
Unfortunately, though I'd love to go bright motherfucking red, my hair has to remain more professional looking for the duration of the forensics season, along with my job hunt. Living in the middle of fundamentalist, conservative Hicktown, if one wishes to go anywhere successful, one must look, sadly, normal.
Until I have loads of cash and a definite college admission or two, I must dial down the crazy hair antics for the time being. Sigh.. I guess I'll have to break barriers and find shock value elsewhere.
Like raves! [nice awkward segway]
I just got a ticket to a New Year's Eve rave. I'm excited.
Anyway, Happy Whatever You Celebrate!
Julia
Ahhh I've been gone from the blogging world so I'm just now catching up with everyone! The hair choice sounds pretty rad, even if it is "normal". I'm sure you'll have the most kick ass normal hair in town.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your job search!
MY JEWISH FRIENDS AND I PLAYED DREIDL WITH SKITTLES. Thought you would be proud.
ReplyDeleteToffee sounds too delicious to be a hair color. But I still like it.
I love how instead of simply saying, "bright red" you add "motherfucking" for emphasis. It really gets the point across.
Happy Holidayyyyys :)
You're very welcome. Love you too :)
ReplyDeleteEeshie is obviously very fond of her dreidl story.. This is is the second time I've seen it. So to join the bandwagon, I'll retell a story of my own
ReplyDelete-Last night I went to my Noni's (Grandmother in German) Hanimas Party.
YEAH, CULTURALLY DIVERSE FAMILIES
..I'm just sad that after this Wednesday, I will no longer have a reason for buying large quantities of latkes at the deli.. and must go back to being that weird girl who eats them in July. And August. And March. And every other month/day/minute/imobsessed.
Anyways,
May you have a Very-Merrily-Fumed Holiday, Mademoiselle.
-Sam.
OH IT IS CHRISTMAS
ReplyDeleteINHALE THOSE NOXIOUS FUMES
...I'm referring to your hair dye, or course.
Merry Christmas/Hanukkah!
xoxo
